Thank you for posting this. This past March I lost a friend who was serving as a paratrooper in Iraq, he was only 21 years old. I believe that the purpose of this holiday is often forgotten, and has sadly been used as a excuse for discount vacuum cleaners and half priced jeans. The dedication and sacrifice of the men and women of the armed forces should not go unappreciated, or their lives uncelebrated. So, once again, thank you.
